THE PROCESS

First we talk, discuss and chat through all your thoughts and aspirations.

You can refer to my fine art calligraphy semi custom selection for ideas or elements you wish to include and we can develop from there. You can also come to me with a completely new thought or idea, and I can begin the creative process.

PAPER OPTIONS

HANDMADE PAPER
I use a number of different suppliers but essentially the majority of paper I use for fine art calligraphy is handmade.  I love the gorgeous textures, softness and deckled edges. I also have a variety of beautiful colours that you can choose from.  You can also choose letterpress as an extra option.

COTTON CARD
This is soft and decadent, used for both printing and letterpress. It can also be used for foiling.

300 GSM CARD
Gorgeous card stock from GF Smith papers, beautiful quality and smooth texture which come in a variety of colours.  The is perfect for digital printing, letterpress and foiling.

PAPER COLOUR OPTIONS
I use three different paper suppliers who supply a range of beautiful colours, please contact me to discuss.

EXTRAS
I have a number of beautiful options you can use to enhance your wedding stationery:

HAND DYED RIBBONS
Not only do I hand dye ribbons using plants and natural dyes, I also have a number of preferred suppliers that I use.  These ribbons can be used to complete your stationery invitation suite and for vow books, order of services or anything else you may wish to have included.  You can also order extra ribbon for your own use, for example; your bouquet, bridesmaid’s hair, your dress and even your table decorations.

WAX SEALS
I have a number of wax seal designs that I can offer you and I can also design and have made for you, your very own personal wax seal.  This can be used for envelopes, place cards and is also a beautiful keepsake after your wedding.

TIMESCALES
Please allow at least 6-8 weeks for design and delivery of your fine art calligraphy custom wedding stationery, in some cases where special paper will need to be ordered it can take an extra couple of weeks.

Maybe you are working on a new logo or advert and need part of the artwork to be handwritten.  Perhaps you are part of a publishing house and would like a book title written in calligraphy or brush script.  I have a variety of skills that lend themselves to branding and bespoke design, whatever your thoughts or ideas, I can work with you to realise your vision.

MY PROCESS:

First we talk, discuss and collaborate on ideas, once I have a sense of what you are hoping to achieve I begin to sketch, paint or write (or all three!) depending on your project.

Once I have created my initial designs I will send these to you in a preliminary first draft format, normally in sketch format depending on the brief.

After we have discussed these initial proofs I will create the final files, whether these are for print, digital artwork i.e. jpg for websites or actual physical products i.e. labelling or business cards.

I also have a number of printers I use for different projects and can liaise with the printing company on your behalf if you wish.
